Κατά την παρουσίαση του κτιριακού προγράμματος του Υπουργείου Δικαιοσύνης  για την χώρα ο Υπουργός Δικαιοσύνης, Γιώργος Φλωρίδης ανακοίνωσε την χρηματοδότηση της ανέγερσης του Εφετείου Αιγαίου ποσού 1.5 εκατομμυρίου €.

Στην σύσκεψη της 21^η Οκτωβρίου 2025 ο Περιφερειάρχης Βορείου Αιγαίου Κωνσταντίνος Μουτζούρης εκπροσωπήθηκε από τον Εκτελεστικό Γραμματέα της Περιφέρειας Αρη Ελευθερίου.

Μετά την ανακοίνωση ο Περιφερειάρχης με δελτίο Τύπου εξέφρασε την απόλυτη ικανοποίηση του για την εξέλιξη αυτή και για το ενδιαφέρον της Κυβέρνησης για την Περιφέρεια Βορείου Αιγαίου όπου δρομολογούνται έργα που η κοινωνία διαχρονικά αιτείται.

«Μεταξύ αυτών των οποίων ανακοινώθηκαν, τα κτίρια αυτά που έχουν χρηματοδοτηθεί, δηλαδή έχουν μπει χρήματα -και αυτό έχει πολύ μεγάλη σημασία- ήταν η Περιφέρεια Βορείου Αιγαίου και συγκεκριμένα η Μυτιλήνη με το κτίριο του Εφετείου Βορείου Αιγαίου όπου θα στεγάσει το Εφετείο και το Διοικητικό Δικαστήριο, το οποίο σήμερα λειτουργεί σε ένα μισθωμένο κτίριο (..) Το ποσό είναι 1,5εκ. ευρώ και εγώ αμέσως μετά την ανακοίνωση αυτή – επειδή εκπροσώπησα τον Περιφερειάρχη – ρώτησα τον Υπουργό για τον χρονικό ορίζοντα υλοποίησης του έργου, δεδομένου ότι το ακίνητο θα παραχωρηθεί από το Υπουργείο στο Ταμείο Χρηματοδοτήσεως Δικαστικών Κτιρίων που θα πραγματοποιήσει την ανέγερση. Η μελέτη θα εκπονηθεί από το ΤΑΚΔΙΚ και  φορέας χρηματοδότησης είναι το Υπουργείο Δικαιοσύνης» ανέφερε σε δήλωσή του στο «Ε» ο κ. Ελευθερίου και πρόσθεσε ότι η απάντηση του Υπουργού, στο ερώτημα ως προς τα χρονοδιαγράμματα ήταν πως θα πρέπει να υπάρξει εγρήγορση για την εκπόνηση των μελετών καθώς το κτίριο θα ανεγερθεί επί του οικοπέδου που φιλοξενούταν κάποτε η παλιά Γαλλική Σχολή.

Θυμίζουμε ότι πρόσφατα η Επιτροπή Δημοσίων Κτημάτων του Νομού Λέσβου πήρε την απόφαση να παραχωρήσει στο Υπουργείο Δικαιοσύνης το δημόσιο ακίνητο, το ανταλλάξιμο που βρίσκεται δίπλα στα Δικαστήρια (παλιά Γαλλική Σχολή) σύμφωνα με τον πρόεδρο της Επιτροπής Διαχείρισης Δημοσίων Κτημάτων Ν. Λέσβου, Στυλιανό Κίνδερλη.

Θα πρέπει να εκπονηθούν οι μελέτες και το επόμενο βήμα είναι η ανέγερση του κτιρίου στο οικόπεδο έκτασης ≈927  μ² όπως επισήμανε ο κ. Ελευθερίου τονίζοντας ότι βάσει των δεδομένων δύναται να αξιοποιηθούν προς κατασκευή ≈550-600 μ² νέων κτιρίων. «Επομένως θα υπάρχει και το παλιό κτίριο που θα ανασκευαστεί έτσι όπως ήταν η παλαιά Γαλλική Σχολή και νέος χώρος» και καταλήγοντας πρόσθεσε  «Θα πρέπει να πιέσουμε και εμείς λιγάκι κατά το δυνατόν τις Τεχνικές Υπηρεσίας του ΤΑΚΔΙΚ για να ολοκληρωθούν οι μελέτες και να το εκτελέσουνε. Θα γίνουν σύντομα αυτά, δεν θα υπάρχει η καθυστέρηση της δημοπρασίας κλπ, αφού το κατασκευάζουν οι ίδιοι».

Eleftheriou: We must push for the studies to be carried out and for the building to be constructed by the TACHDIK

€1.5 million for the North Aegean Court of Appeal and the Administrative Court of Mytilene

During the presentation of the Ministry of Justice’s building program for the country, the Minister of Justice, Giorgos Floridis, announced the funding for the construction of the Aegean Court of Appeal, amounting to €1.5 million.

At the meeting held on October 21, 2025, the Regional Governor of the North Aegean, Konstantinos Moutzouris, was represented by the Executive Secretary of the Region, Aris Eleftheriou.

Following the announcement, the Regional Governor, through a press release, expressed his absolute satisfaction with this development and with the government’s interest in the North Aegean Region, where projects long requested by society are now being set in motion.

“Among those announced, the buildings that have been funded — meaning that money has already been allocated, which is of great importance — include the North Aegean Region, and specifically Mytilene, with the building of the North Aegean Court of Appeal, which will house both the Court of Appeal and the Administrative Court, which currently operates in a rented building (..). The amount is €1.5 million, and immediately after this announcement — since I was representing the Regional Governor — I asked the Minister about the project’s implementation timeline, given that the property will be transferred from the Ministry to the Judicial Buildings Financing Fund (TACHDIK), which will undertake the construction. The study will be carried out by TACHDIK, and the funding body is the Ministry of Justice,” said Mr. Eleftheriou in a statement to “Empros”.

He added that, in response to his question regarding the timetable, the Minister stated that vigilance is required for the completion of the studies, as the building will be constructed on the plot where the old French School once stood.

It should be noted that the Committee for Public Property of the Prefecture of Lesvos recently decided to grant the public property — the exchangeable plot located next to the Courthouse (the old French School) — to the Ministry of Justice, according to the President of the Committee for the Management of Public Property of Lesvos, Stylianos Kinderlis.

The necessary studies must be conducted, and the next step will be the construction of the building on a plot of approximately 927 m², as Mr. Eleftheriou pointed out, emphasizing that based on the available data, it is possible to utilize around 550–600 m² for the construction of new buildings.
“Therefore, the old building will also be renovated to resemble the former French School, along with a new section,” he added, concluding:
“We must exert some pressure, as much as possible, on the Technical Services of TACHDIK to complete the studies and carry out the project. These steps will take place soon — there will be no delay due to public tendering procedures, since they will handle the construction themselves.”
