Εγκρίθηκε κατά την διάρκεια συνεδρίασης της Δημοτικής Επιτροπής Δυτικής Λέσβου, η προγραμματική Σύμβαση μεταξύ της Περιφέρειας Βορείου Αιγαίου, του Δήμου Δυτικής Λέσβου και του Μουσείου Φυσικής Ιστορίας Απολιθωμένου Δάσους Λέσβου για την υλοποίηση του έργου : «Επισκευή του κτηρίου του Εκπαιδευτικού Κέντρου Άντισσας».

Το μέγιστο όπως σημειώνεται κόστος του έργου ανέρχεται σε 100.000 ευρώ και η χρηματοδότηση προέρχεται από πιστώσεις ΚΑΠ ΕΠΕΝΔΥΣΕΙΣ ΠΕ ΛΕΣΒΟΥ – ΛΗΜΝΟΥ της Περιφέρειας Βορείου Αιγαίου. Το τελικό ποσό σύμφωνα με το σχέδιο θα προκύψει με την κατακύρωση και υπογραφή της σχετικής σύμβασης ανάθεσης.

Η Περιφέρεια Βορείου Αιγαίου χαρακτηρίζεται φορέας χρηματοδότησης, ο Δήμος Δυτικής Λέσβου κύριος του έργου και το Μουσείο Φυσικής Ιστορίας Απολιθωμένου Δάσους Λέσβου ως φορέας υλοποίησης.

Υπενθυμίζεται ότι την Τετάρτη 11 Ιουνίου 2025 υπογράφτηκε μεταξύ του Διευθυντή του Μουσείου, Νικόλαου Ζούρου και του Δημάρχου Δυτικής Λέσβου, Ταξιάρχη Βέρρου η σύμβαση με την οποία το κτήριο του Γηροκομείου – Καπή Άντισσας περνάει για 20 χρόνια στα χέρια του Μουσείου με σκοπό την λειτουργία του Εκπαιδευτικού Κέντρου Άντισσας του Μουσείο Φυσικής Ιστορίας του Απολιθωμένου Δάσους Λέσβου.

Κατά την διάρκεια εγκαινίων της έκθεσης Μνήμες Γαίας στο Νέο Εκπαιδευτικό Κέντρο Άντισσας ο Δήμαρχος Δυτικής Λέσβου, Ταξιάρχης Βέρρος δεν παρέλειψε να υπενθυμίσει προς τους εκπροσώπους της Περιφέρειας την δέσμευση του Περιφερειάρχη Βορείου Αιγαίου, Κώστα Μουτζούρη για διάθεση κονδυλίων για την αποκατάσταση του κτιρίου. Βέβαια η σχετική δέσμευση του Περιφερειάρχη είχε γίνει κατά το διάστημα συζήτησης περί λειτουργίας του Γηροκομείου Άντισσας ως παράρτημα του ΖΑΧΑΡΕΙΟΥ, που αποτέλεσε τότε στόχο της Δημοτικής Αρχής ο οποίος όμως δεν επετεύχθη...

Αντικείμενο του έργου

Σκοπός της σύμβασης είναι η επισκευή του κτηρίου του εκπαιδευτικού κέντρου Άντισσας (πρώην Γηροκομείου) προκειμένου να λειτουργεί ως Εκπαιδευτικό Κέντρο και να υλοποιούνται σε αυτό εκπαιδευτικές δράσεις και δράσεις φιλοξενίας φοιτητών – ερευνητών που ασχολούνται με την φυσική κληρονομιά και το φυσικό περιβάλλον της Λέσβου που έχει χαρακτηρισθεί Παγκόσμιο Γεωπάρκο UNESCO.

Ακόμη, σε άλλο σημείο, προστίθεται πως η Περιφέρεια Βορείου Αιγαίου μεριμνά για την προαγωγή της οικονομικής κοινωνικής, πολιτιστικής και πνευματικής ανάπτυξης των νησιωτικών περιφερειών της χώρας, μεταξύ άλλων, μέσω της έρευνας, προστασίας, αξιοποίησης και προβολής της εθνικής υλικής και άυλης πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς.

Σύμφωνα με το απόσπασμα αντικείμενο της σύμβασης είναι η υλοποίηση του έργου «Επισκευή του κτηρίου του Εκπαιδευτικού Κέντρου Άντισσας (πρώην Γηροκομείου).

Οι εργασίες που πρόκειται να πραγματοποιηθούν αφορούν:

• Επισκευή στέγης και αντικατάσταση σπασμένων κεραμιδιών
• Επισκευή υδρορροών
• Μόνωση και στεγανοποίηση στέγης (δωμάτια) κτιρίου
• Μόνωση τοίχων
• Ελαιοχρωματισμοί εσωτερικών και εξωτερικών τοίχων
• Διαμόρφωση αύλειου χώρου για την απορροή ομβρίων
• Επίστρωση με πέτρα του υπαίθριου αμφιθεάτρου
• Αντικατάσταση καλωδιώσεων και αντικατάσταση εξωτερικού κουβουκλίου ηλεκτρικού πίνακα
• Έλεγχος ηλεκτρολογικών εγκαταστάσεων
• Πυρασφάλεια
• Έλεγχος και επισκευή συστήματος θέρμανσης
• Προμήθεια κλιματιστικών
• Επισκευή και αντικατάσταση φωτιστικών περιβάλλοντος χώρου
• Επισκευή υδραυλικού συστήματος

Tripartite Programmatic Agreement for the Repair of the Building of the Educational Center of Antissa

During a meeting of the Municipal Committee of Western Lesvos, the Programmatic Agreement between the Region of North Aegean, the Municipality of Western Lesvos, and the Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest was approved for the implementation of the project: “Repair of the building of the Educational Center of Antissa.”

As noted, the maximum cost of the project amounts to €100,000, and funding will come from the CAP INVESTMENTS credits of the Regional Unit of Lesvos – Limnos of the Region of North Aegean. The final amount, according to the plan, will be determined upon the award and signing of the relevant assignment contract.

The Region of North Aegean is designated as the funding body, the Municipality of Western Lesvos as the project owner, and the Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest as the implementing body.

It should be recalled that on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, an agreement was signed between the Director of the Museum, Nikolaos Zouros, and the Mayor of Western Lesvos, Taxiarchis Verros, through which the building of the Antissa Nursing Home – KAPI was transferred for 20 years to the Museum, with the purpose of operating the Educational Center of Antissa of the Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest.

During the inauguration of the exhibition Memories of Gaia at the New Educational Center of Antissa, the Mayor of Western Lesvos, Taxiarchis Verros, did not fail to remind the representatives of the Region of the commitment of the Regional Governor of North Aegean, Kostas Moutzouris, to allocate funds for the restoration of the building. However, it should be noted that the relevant commitment of the Regional Governor had been made during the discussions regarding the operation of the Antissa Nursing Home as a branch of the Zachareio Institution – a goal of the Municipal Authority at the time, which, however, was not achieved.

Object of the Project

The purpose of the agreement is the repair of the building of the Antissa Educational Center (former Nursing Home) in order for it to operate as an Educational Center and to host educational activities as well as student and researcher residencies related to the natural heritage and environment of Lesvos, which has been designated as a UNESCO Global Geopark.

Furthermore, in another section, it is stated that the Region of North Aegean ensures the promotion of the economic, social, cultural, and intellectual development of the island regions of the country, among other things, through research, protection, utilization, and promotion of the national tangible and intangible cultural heritage.

According to the excerpt, the object of the agreement is the implementation of the project “Repair of the building of the Antissa Educational Center (former Nursing Home).”

The works to be carried out include:

• Repair of the roof and replacement of broken tiles

• Repair of gutters

• Insulation and waterproofing of the roof (rooms) of the building

• Wall insulation

• Painting of internal and external walls

• Landscaping of the courtyard to ensure rainwater drainage

• Paving with stone of the outdoor amphitheater

• Replacement of wiring and external cabinet of the electrical panel

• Inspection of electrical installations

• Fire safety measures

• Inspection and repair of the heating system

• Supply of air conditioning units

• Repair and replacement of outdoor lighting fixtures

• Repair of the plumbing system
